Pristine Bushvelt Stream
Set in the breathtaking Spekboom River valley, Rivendell is a beautiful venue for trout fishing. We have 4 kilometres of river available for our guests to fish. And with its wide variety water types, it offers our guests the best opportunity to improve their skills.

Wild and Stocked Rainbow Trout
Based on the farm Rivendell, we have access to around 4 kilometres of the Spekboom River, a classic bushveld trout stream set in a breathtakingly beautiful valley outside Lydenburg. The stream has fast pocket water, riffles, glides, and deep pools and plays home to a mix of stocked- and wild-spawned rainbow trout. Guests will learn how to read the water and effectively fish it with dry flies and small nymphs. Our guides will be on hand to assist and instruct guests on all aspects of small stream fishing.

Spacious, Well Appointed Accommodation
We break the river into two beats, and each beat has its own well-appointed cottage. Each cottage has its own living room and kitchen, and each guest has their own en suite room. We do all the catering in the bottom cottage, Bagend, where we serve brunch and dinner. There is nothing quite like sitting around the fire, with the stream babbling in the distance.
