Jurassic Lake Fly Fishing
Jurassic Lake is renowned for large non-anadromous rainbow trout. We began fishing at Jurassic Lake in 2004, and since then, we have regularly landed fish over 20 pounds; consequently, the term Jurassic Lake Monster Trout was born. Therefore, it is the destination that all true trout anglers must experience.
Moreover, Jurassic Lake is a natural lake situated on the Patagonian plains and is only 4,500 kilometres north of the Antarctic Circle. Originating in the glaciers of the Andes Mountains, the Rio Barrancoso feeds Jurassic Lake with cold glacial water.
As a result, cold, rich waters allow these rainbow trout to grow extremely large. Furthermore, with its proximity to the Antarctic Circle, conditions are unpredictable and can change within hours. Indeed, you will often experience all four seasons in one day. Thus, make sure that your Jurassic Lake Fly Fishing gear is up to the harsh conditions.

Trophy rainbow trout in the lake and the river.
In addition, our access to the river extends to a stretch well above the lodge, where the fish remain year-round. This provides some of the best dry fly fishing we have experienced. Here, big, wild, stream-raised rainbows rise freely to dry flies and terrestrial patterns.
Equally important, with our lodge being a stone’s throw from the river mouth, it is the ideal place at which to base your Jurassic Lake Fly Fishing experience.

Good Food, good wine and fabulous fishing.
Finally, the lodge is luxurious with all worldly comforts. In particular, the camp chef creates excellent meals and serves them in the well-appointed dining room overlooking the lake in the long, semi-arctic twilight.
In conclusion, our experienced guides have an in-depth knowledge of the area, the lake, and the river.
