C&F Design Fly Boxes

C&F Design manufacture the best fly boxes on the market. They are focused on design and quality.

They recently rereleased a system approach to fly boxes and we hope to elaborate on how it all pieces together.

All their system cases and boxes are waterproof, and made from a rugged polymer. Chest boxes incorporate foam to reduce weight, however, this means that they are not waterproof.

All System Inserts can be used in any of the System Boxes or System Chest Boxes of the same size.

Product Features

The Professional Guide System allows system inserts to be switched between boxes, cases and chest boxes. System Foams are available in a multitude of configuration, including threaders or nymph systems.

Guide Boat Boxes

All the guide boat boxes come fully loaded with System Inserts, allowing the insets to be clipped in/out and moved to fly boxes as needed.

System Fly Boxes

Waterproof, empty, fly cases that hold 2 System Foams; 7 types of freshwater foams and 3 types of saltwater foams can be used in any combination you choose. Available in a variety of colours and 3 sizes.

Chest Boxes and Patches are not waterproof, but allow airflow to dry wet flies.

System Inserts

Plastic backed, 5-8mm thick foam sheets available in Small, Medium and Large sizes, in 7 types of freshwater foams, 3 types of saltwater foams and threader options. Inserts are available in configurations suitable for anything from micro-sized patterns to large streamers and saltwater flies.

Compatible with C&F Fly Cases, Universal System Cases, Chest Storage Boxes and Boat Boxes.

System Fly Cases

Waterproof, pre-configured, Fly Cases that are fitted with 2 Universal System Inserts. Compatible with 7 types of freshwater foam inserts and 3 types of saltwater foam inserts, which can be used in any combination you choose. Available in 3 sizes, in black only, except Grand Slam boxes.

System Chest Boxes

System Chest Boxes allow storage of flies within easy reach. They accept System Inserts, but come pre-loaded with their own insert.

Chest Boxes

Chest Boxes allow storage of flies within easy reach, or to allow them to dry. These chest boxes do not accept system inserts.
