Description
Description
Scientific Anglers Mastery Double Taper is a true to weight floating line designed for classic presentations with bamboo, glass, and slow action graphite rods. The long continuous belly provides exceptionally smooth turnover for dry flies and smaller nymphs, delivering accurate casts and delicate presentations. Optimised for cold and moderate climates, it is a supple, traditional taper that excels on technical streams and spring creeks.
Technologies
- AST – Slickness additive that reduces friction, improves shootability and enhances long term performance.
- Welded Loops – Durable welded loops on both the front and back of the line for easy, reliable loop to loop connections to backing and leaders.
- Dry Tip – Specialised coating on the front of the line that increases flotation for cleaner drifts.
- SA-ID – Printed line identification system showing taper, weight and density for quick recognition.
- Braided Multifilament Core – Supple cold-water core that provides excellent line control and minimal memory.

Mastery Line Features
SA Mastery Series lines have been among our most-popular and best-performing lines. Mastery Series lines still deliver just as well as, if not better than they ever have before.
With the AST slickness additive, Dry-Tip technology, colour change at the rear of the head, and SA Line Identification system, Mastery lines are still the best smooth lines at their price point on the market.
