Description
Description
Scientific Anglers Amplitude Smooth Tarpon is a tropical floating line built for accurate deliveries of large flies. Its compact taper loads quickly for short shots yet carries efficiently carries more line. The design allows firm turnover without hard landings helping present large flies quietly in shallow flats and channels.
Technologies
- AST+ – Advanced slickness coating that reduces friction improves shootability and maintains slick performance far longer.
- Welded Loops – Durable welded loops on both the front and back of the line for easy reliable loop-to-loop connections to backing and leaders.
- Saltwater ID – Same as SA-ID but for saltwater lines.
- Tropi-Core – Extra-rigid tropical monofilament core designed to resist heat maintain stiffness and deliver powerful turnover in hot climates.
Temperature Rating
- Hot / Tropical – 20°C to 40°C

Amplitude Smooth Line Features
Scientific Anglers took their revolutionary AST Plus slickness additive and put it into the Amplitude Smooth Series. These lines are smooth like traditional lines, but have increased durability and slickness due to the AST Plus, which is mixed directly into the coatings.
Each line is built with three colours to identify the separate parts of the line, and welded loops for quick and easy rigging.
