Description
Sparkle yarn is the material popularised by flyfishing legend Gary LaFontaine in his book Caddisflies. Sparkle yarn (also called Antron yarn) is a trilobal (triangular) material that reflects light. The material was used in several of LaFontaine’s patterns, the most famous being the Deep Sparkle Pupa and Emergent Sparkle Pupa. We love this material because the Deep Sparkle Pupa is an absolute fish slayer on the Vaal. The material can also be used for shucks on emergers and other similar patterns.
