The Rookie fly rod has been developed with the beginner to intermediate fly caster in mind, it has a medium fast action, with progressive power curve. The Rookie fly reel is a cast aluminium reel with a large arbor and smooth drag. The Scientific Angler Aircel line is weight forward.

The starter kit will arrive ready to fish. The line will be spooled on the line, and the leader attached to the fly line. You need to assemble the rod, put the reel on the reel seat. Thread the line through the guides, attach some tippet and tie on a fly. Add water and fish!
